CURRCURUM VITAE of WILL C.


Billy Carter graduated from St. Martins School of Art London with a B.A. in Fine Art, and for the next four years he was a painter.

He then spent one year in Paris where he had his own art studio.

It was there that he met Jean Loup Sieff, the internationally famous advertising and fashion photographer who talked Bill into giving up painting and becoming a photographer. He was Jean Loup SieffÕs assistant for 9 months.

After working with Sieff, one of the worldÕs most famous photographers, Bill went to Rome where he worked on the magazine Oggi. From there he went to Switzerland where he worked for a year. He then worked for Rolf Winquest in Sweden for three months.

He covered five Royal tours for the press. He now has his own studio in Kilburn, which is 25 ft x 15 ft of studio space fully equipped with BowenÕs flash and swimming pool light, 20,000 Jules of power. He also has use of large studio in Holborn, which has day light use. Rapid change back ground roll and its dimensions are 60 ft long x 18 wide. He has all his own cameras; Hasselblads and Cannons.

Since setting up his own studio Bill has worked on many international accounts. He has directed and shot 31 commercials.

He has won many awards for his work throughout the world, and 8 prints of his work hang in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, N.Y.

In 1979 bill spent some time in America where he shot the international portfolio called Lovers. He has since worked extensively not only in America, but also in the Far East, Africa and all over Europe, including Russia, Sweden and Norway where he worked on the Gold Account. He has also worked in Holland extensively and France but loves working in the Far East.
